Earth Friendly? How?
Earth Friendly, or Environmentally friendly (also eco-friendly, nature friendly, and green) are terms used to refer to goods and services, laws, guidelines and policies claimed to inflict minimal or no harm on the environment. Companies sometimes use these terms to promote goods and services by making environmental marketing claims and with eco-labels.
How is bio-pest actually Earth Friendly? We use pesticides. We don’t use hybrid or electric vehicles.
Well, here’s how;
Goods & Services; We only use pesticides that meet Organic Certification Requirements. Of these, none are sprays. None are labeled as Danger!! Warning!! Only the least toxic chemicals are labeled with Caution on the packaging. And……all are either botanicals (derived from flowers or plants) or Inorganics (mineral based, such as boric acid).
Guidelines; We practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM) as our exclusive methodology for pest management. IPM is an effective approach to controlling pest populations while causing the least amount of risk to people and the environment. IPM incorporates multiple pest control techniques, relying first on preventative measures and non-toxic controls, then on least-toxic chemicals (botanical or mineral-based) as a last resort, to control the target pests.
Policies; bio-pest utilization of materials and methods with the least negative impact on our environment doesn’t end with our treatment process or chemicals. We also print our invoices, fliers, brochures, business cards, etc. on 100% Post-Consumer recycled paper. We drive vehicles with low carbon footprints. No Trucks or spray rigs. Only small hatchbacks with high fuel economy and low emissions.
If that’s not enough, we associate with numerous organizations similar to ourselves in methodology. WildCare, Bio-Integral Resource Center, Eco-Wise Certification, etc.
